Getting a data centre's cost plan right starts long before a contractor is appointed — order-of-cost estimates and MW-benchmarked cost planning, MEP cost modelling across power, cooling, containment, BMS and UPS, and procurement route-to-market advice across Design & Build, Two-Stage and Construction Management.

Getting the procurement route wrong on a data centre is a more expensive mistake than on most asset classes, precisely because so much of the value sits in long-lead, specialist MEP packages that don't forgive a rushed decision made at tender stage.

The pre-contract stage is where most of that risk actually gets designed out — or baked in.
